Ilha de Mozambique

Ilha de Mozambique is a World Heritage site rich in history and culture, and is fast becoming one of Mozambique’s top destinations. It is a fantastic destination to visit for both the cultural aspects as well as the sheer beauty of its surroundings.

Ilha de Mozambique – 3 nights / 4 days

Day 1 – The Arrival:

You arrive at Johannesburg International Airport and catch a connecting flight to Nampula Airport, where you will be met and transferred by road to Ilha de Mozambique. Upon arrival on Ilha de Mozambique, you will be taken to Villa Sands which will be your base for exploring the culturally rich island.

Day 2 and 3 – Exploring Ilha de Mozambique:

You will have two full days to explore Ilha de Mozambique. Included in your explorations is a half day guided tour of the city, looking at the colonial architecture, bustling street markets and sampling the wonderful cuisine.  In addition, there are long stretches of empty, pristine beaches with excellent snorkelling and diving mere minutes away. Also included is a boat trip around the island where you will be able to swim and snorkel.

Day 4 – The Return Journey:

After breakfast you will be taken back to Nampula Airport for your return flight to Johannesburg International Airport. Our service ends here and we hope you had a fantastic time exploring Ilha de Mozambique.
