Niassa Reserve Safari
At over 42000km² Niassa Reserve in far northern Mozambique is one of the largest game reserves in Africa. It is roughly twice the size of Kruger National Park, and is only just being discovered. A journey to the far north of Mozambique is no easy task, but if you are looking for adventure you might very well find it in the wild north.
Niassa Reserve Safari Package – 5 nights / 6 days / 3 full safari days
Day 1 – The Arrival:
You arrive at Pemba airport, the gateway to northern Mozambique, where you will spend your first night at Pemba Beach Hotel and Spa. Take a walk on the beach and explore the coastline, or relax at the hotel and treat yourself to a massage.
Day 2 – Transfer to Niassa:
After checking out, it’s back to the airport for a transfer to Niassa Reserve and Lugenda Wilderness Camp. This transfer is by light aircraft and takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. It’s a fantastic opportunity to see the vast expanse of the Mozambique wilderness from an aerial perspective.
On arrival at Lugenda Wilderness Camp, you will be shown around and taken to your luxury tent, overlooking the Lugenda River. The first evening includes a sunset game drive.
Day 3 to 5 – 3 full safari days:
For the following 3 days, it’s all about safari and exploring the vast expanses of Niassa Reserve. All game drives are in traditional open game viewing vehicles seating 8 guests, and are directed by qualified guides.
Day 6 – The return journey:
After a final breakfast at Lugenda Wilderness Camp, you will be transferred by light aircraft back to Pemba airport. Our service ends here, and we hope that you had an amazing time at Lugenda Wilderness Camp.

– You can get your Visa for Mozambique at Pemba airport. (85 USD$ to be paid at arrival)
