Limpopo National Park, forms the Mozambique sector of the Great Transfrontier Limpopo Park with the Kruger National Park in South Africa and the Gonarezhou National Park in Zimbabwe. The Great Transfrontier Limpopo Park covers over 35,000km², making it one of the largest wilderness conservation areas in the world. Machampane Wilderness Camp is ideally situated on the banks of the Machampane River in Limpopo National Park.

Day 1 – The Arrival:

You arrive at Phalaborwa airport, and are transferred by land to Limpopo – Machampane Wilderness Camp which should take 4 – 5 hours.  Sit back and enjoy the ride.

Upon arrival at Machampane Wilderness Camp you will be shown to your luxury tented camp. If you arrive before 3pm you can participate in the afternoon game walk. If not, explore the banks of the river or relax with a sun downer in the boma.


Day 2 to 4 – Safari walks:

Early start for the morning walk, which is usually 3 – 4 hours long. All walks are accompanied by an armed ranger and a professional guide. The walks are intended as an environmental awareness experience and not as a ‘route march’! The guide will set the pace to accommodate the individuals desired walking pace and interests.


Day 5 – The return journey:

After a final breakfast it is time to start the return journey, with a transfer back to Phalaborwa. Our service ends here, and we hope that you had an amazing stay at Machampane Wilderness Camp.

– Citizens of the European Union don’t need a Visa for South Africa.

– You can get your Visa for Mozambique at Giriyondo border post. (85 USD$ to be paid at arrival)
