The world famous game reserve was established by Paul Kruger in 1898 and became officially registered as Kruger National Park in 1926. The park comprises 19.000 square kilometres, roughly the size of the Netherlands. The Kruger National Park is currently home to around 25.000 buffalo, 10.000 elephants, 9.000 giraffes and around 1.500 lions. The park is famous for beautiful landscapes and an amazing variety of flora and fauna. The diversity of birds is outstanding and bird watchers will feel as if they are in paradise. |
