Tofo – Pomene Scuba Dive Package - 12 Nights / 13 Days
The combination of scuba diving in Tofo and Pomene is ideal for nature lovers! Tofo is a very lively beach village, with amazing scuba diving amongst whale sharks and manta rays. Pomene Bay, just 120 km north of Inhambane, is the smallest nature reserve in Mozambique, hosting leisure and luxury with the wildness and the remoteness of an Indian Ocean island.

There are direct flights available from Johannesburg, but flight via Maputo and transfers can also be arranged. We recommend arrival at Johannesburg O. Tambo Int. airport on a Sunday, Monday, Wednesday or Friday. LAM airlines connecting flight JNB / INH departs at 10.55 hours from Johannesburg to Inhambane.
Day 1 Friday:
You arrive at Oliver Tambo International airport in Johannesburg.
Your E-ticket for the regional flight Johannesburg (JNB) to Inhambane (INH) will be sent to you beforehand.
The regional flight from JNB to INH takes 1 hour and 45 minutes.
(Citizens of the European Union don’t need a Visa for South Africa)
You can get your Visa for Mozambique at the airport in Inhambane upon arrival.
(31 USD$ to be paid at arrival.)
We pick you up at the airport in Inhambane and arrange a direct transfer to Tofo Beach at only 17 km away.
10 Nights stay in Tofo at one of the many accomodation options. TAC – Diving and Safaris Adventures, will be your contact agency in Tofo. We will be able to arrange trips and tours for you in Tofo, as well as in the region. You can contact us for any question or problem you might have.
Day 2 to Day 7 Saturday – Thursday (6 full scuba diving days):
Two scuba dives a day, either both in the morning, or one on in the morning and one in the afternoon. Dive planning depends mainly on the conditions and the amount of divers in the dive center.
10 Dive package included (tank and weights included.)
Good ScubaPro equipment for rental is available in Tofo.
Nitrox is for free if dive package is booked through us.
Possibility of a third dive a day upon request.
There is plenty of time to partake in any of the other activities on offer in Tofo.
Day 8, Friday:
Pick up in Tofo and transfer to Pomene Lodge. Approximately 4 hours drive through an amazing coastal landscape of dunes, swamps and coconut forests.
Day 9 – Day 12, Saturday – Tuesday:
Two dives a day, either both in the morning, or one on in the morning and one in the afternoon. Dive planning depends mainly on the conditions and the amount of divers in the dive center.
Other activities as a visit to the old colonial hotel of Pomene, a quad bike tour, horse riding, or an estuary kayak trip can be arranged by Pomene Lodge.
Day 13, Wednesday:
4 hour return drive from Pomene Lodge to Inhambane airport. Return flight to Oliver Tambo Int. airport in Johannesburg. Our service ends here.
