The province of Inhambane is probably the most developed region in Mozambique with regards to tourism. Inhambane City is the capital of the province, with Barra Beach and Tofo Beach right on the city's door step. Both beaches are renowned for the excellent diving with manta rays and whale sharks all year round.
More destinations have recently added to the diving map in Inhambane, where Zavora, Pomene as well as Morrongulo offer amazing opportunities for unspoiled diving in breath-taking locations.
In the north of the Inhambane province, the city of Vilanculos is located and the National Park of the Bazaruto Archipelago hosts some pristine islands with high end luxury lodges and hotels.

Maputo is the charming capital of Mozambique. Formerly known under the Portuguese navigators name Lourenco Marques. The attractive colonial city is famous for the Mediterranean - style architecture, the Jacaranda and Flame Tree avenues and the overall Latino / African ambience. Over recent years Maputo also became renown for its artist and its musical scene. The capital offers a colourful cultural scene and a very good nightlife, with an excellent variety of restaurants, nightclubs, life music and exhibitions.
